MEMAWS CHESS PIE

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp. corn meal

1 stick oleo (melted)

5 tsp. Milk

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. vinegar

3 eggs

1 pie crust shell

Directions:

Mix all ingredients and pour in pie crust shell.  Bake at 350 for 45 minutes until done.

SOGGY SANDWICHES

Ingredients:

2 pkgs Hawaiian sweet rolls

1 1/2 lbs. sliced ham

1 1/2 lbs. sliced turkey

approz 6-8 slices deli swiss cheese

1 1/2-2 sticks of butter

2 tsp. parsley flakes

2 tsp. dry onion flakes

2 tsp. dry mustard

2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Mix together butter, parsley, onion, mustard & Worcestershire sauce, slice rolls in 1/2 and place cheese and meat on bottom of rolls.  Replace top of rolls.  Pour melted mixture over top of sandwiches.  Allow to sit overnight or at least a few hours.  Bake at 350 until golden brown and cheese is melted, approx. 15-20 minutes.

BING CHERRY SALAD

Ingredients:
8 oz. cream cheese

8 oz. can pineapple chunks (drained)

¼ cup cherry juice

1 (#2) can Bing cherries (drained)

1 cup small marshmallows

1 carton Cool Whip

Directions:
Add cherry juice to cream cheese. Mix well. Add cherries, pineapple and marshmallows. Continue mixing. Fold in Cool Whip and refrigerate.

AMBROSIA SALAD

Ingredients:
1 can pineapple chunks(drained)

1 cup small marshmallows

½ cup coconut

1 small can Mandarin oranges

8 oz. sour cream

Directions:
Mix together and chill. Add maraschino cherries if desired.

ZUCCHINI BREAD

Ingredients:

2 cups grated zucchini

3 eggs

2 cups sugar

1 cup oil

3 cups flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. baking powder

3 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 cup nuts (optional)

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Beat together eggs, oil, vanilla and sugar.  Sift flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon.  Add to egg mixture and beat well.  Fold in zucchini and nuts.  Pour into well greased loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.  Freezes well

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BAR

Ingredients:

2 sticks melted margarine or butter

1/2 cup canola or salad oil

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

4 large eggs

2 tsp. salt

2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. baking powder

4 1/2 cups flour

1 pkg. chocolate chips

1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Mix together butter, oil and sugars. Add eggs and beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture. Mix until just well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.  Put in two greases 13x9x2 pans.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

STUFFED PEPPERS

Ingredients:

6 green peppers

1 lb. hamburger

1/3 cup chopped onion

1/2 tsp. salt and pepper

1 lb. can tomatoes

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup uncooked rice

1tsp. Worcestershire sauce

4 oz. shredded cheese

Directions:

Cut off tops of six peppers, pre-cook in boiling salt water, 5 minutes.  Drian, sprinkle with salt. Brown hamburger with onion, salt and pepper.  Add tomatoes and 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup uncooked rice and one tsp. Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer until tender, about 15 min. Stir in cheese. Stuff peppers, stand in baking dish.  Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  (May sprinkle bread crumbs on top).
